Founded in 1993 by Sonny and Lynne Hoet, The Stables began with a vision inspired by Luke 4:18 to preach good news to the poor, heal the broken hearted, and bring freedom and restoration to those in need.
That vision is still at the heart of everything we do today.

Whether you're looking for spiritual growth, emotional support, or practical help, The Stables is a place where you’ll be seen, supported, and encouraged.
From food parcels and financial counselling to supported housing and community training, we walk alongside people at their point of need.
Our dedicated volunteers and staff are here to lend a hand, offer a prayer, or simply be a listening ear.

Our Op Shop provides affordable clothing, household items, and furniture, with proceeds going to support both local and overseas outreach.
Our Stable Community Support Unit and Stable Court Housing through our partnership with Cornerstone Housing offer essential support and long term accommodation to families doing it tough.

Beyond our borders, we support communities in Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea helping to build brighter futures.

We host regular worship services, prayer meetings, Bible studies, training programs, and social groups for seniors, youth, and everyone in between.
And with spaces like our chapel, women’s shed, community garden, and even a rose garden where you can walk and pray and we offer places of peace, purpose, and connection.
